MTN Uganda has named 25 community projects to receive funding under the third phase of its Changemakers initiative, committing Shs 500 million to support local development.

Each project will receive up to UGX20 million through the MTN Foundation to implement initiatives in economic empowerment, health, education, environmental protection, and water and sanitation.

The winners were chosen from more than 1,800 applications across Kampala, Greater Central, Western, Eastern, and Northern regions, based on community needs aligned with MTN Uganda’s focus areas.

“We are inspired by individuals and organisations that are already making a difference. Our role is to support them so they can extend that impact to more people,” said Allen Kagina, MTN Uganda Foundation Trustee, during the winners’ announcement ceremony held at the Migeera Women Centre of Influence in Migeera Town Council, Nakasongola District.

Since its inception, the MTN Changemakers initiative has funded over 50 projects, investing Shs 1 billion and reaching more than 235,633 people, while continuing to drive inclusive growth and improve living standards across Uganda.
